John Williams Cert Ed (FE),BTech (hons), MSc, MIM, C Eng.
John joined Morgan Williams & Co in May 1998. He is our Practice Manager, responsible for ensuring that we work according to financial services regulation, but also provides financial advice. Although he has some previous experience in financial services with Legal & General he is actually a Chartered Engineer.
On leaving school John joined British Steel Corporation and trained as a metallurgist and was sponsored to attend Brunel University where he obtained a BTech (hons) degree in metallurgy. He took redundant at the end of 1980 and joined Consolidated Diamond Mines of South West Africa Pty Ltd as a metallurgist in their diamond extraction facilities at their alluvial diamond mine on the coast of the Namib desert.
Having returned from South West Africa he completed a masters degree at the Cranfield Institute of Technology in Welding Engineering and Quality Assurance. He lectured at North Lindsey College for ten years where he lectured on a range of technical subjects and carried out training and consultancy for local firms. John eventually moved into management training and consultancy, specialising in Quality Assurance.
